1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GetHouze ("the Platform," "GetHouze," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms").

If you are using the Platform on behalf of a property owner, property management company, real estate agency, or other organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

GetHouze is a property discovery, inspection, and transaction platform that helps prospective tenants find apartments, schedule inspections, connect with verified field agents, and complete rental-related transactions.

The Platform may provide services including:

  • Apartment discovery and search
  • Property listing management
  • Inspection scheduling
  • Inspection verification
  • Agent assignment
  • Apartment bookmarking and saving
  • Secure payment processing
  • Property recommendation services
  • Related support services

GetHouze is a product operated by SoftPath Tech.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of the Platform, you must create an account.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Keep your information updated
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your credentials
  • Accept responsibility for activities conducted through your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Platform. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts containing inaccurate, misleading, or fraudulent information.

4. Inspection Requests and Bookings

GetHouze allows users to request apartment inspections through the Platform.

By requesting an inspection, you acknowledge that:

  • Inspection availability is subject to scheduling and agent availability
  • Inspection fees may apply
  • Appointment times may occasionally change due to operational requirements
  • GetHouze may assign a verified agent to facilitate the inspection

Users may reschedule or cancel inspections in accordance with applicable platform policies.

5. Inspection Verification

To maintain trust and transparency, GetHouze may use verification technologies including:

  • GPS validation
  • QR code verification
  • Passcode verification
  • Inspection duration tracking
  • Agent activity monitoring

You agree to cooperate with reasonable verification procedures during inspections.

Failure to complete verification procedures may impact inspection status and service eligibility.

6. Property Listings

Property listings displayed on GetHouze may be submitted by:

  • Property owners
  • Property managers
  • Authorized representatives
  • GetHouze partners

While we strive to maintain listing accuracy, GetHouze does not guarantee that property information is always complete, listings remain available, pricing remains unchanged, or property conditions match expectations.

Users are encouraged to conduct inspections before making financial commitments.

7. Payments

7.1 Inspection Fees

Certain apartment inspections on GetHouze may require payment before an inspection request can be confirmed.

Inspection fees are clearly displayed before payment and may vary depending on the property, location, or inspection type.

By booking an inspection, you authorize GetHouze to process the applicable inspection fee using your selected payment method.

7.2 Lead & Service Fees

GetHouze may charge verified agents, agencies, property managers, or landlords fees for services provided through the platform, including but not limited to:

  • Inspection lead access
  • Listing promotion
  • Featured property placement
  • Premium subscriptions
  • Additional platform services

Applicable fees will be disclosed before purchase.

7.3 Payment Processing

Payments made through GetHouze may be processed by licensed third-party payment providers.

By completing a payment, you authorize the processing of the transaction through the selected payment channel.

GetHouze does not store complete debit card or banking credentials on its servers.

7.4 Payment Confirmation

A transaction is considered successful only when:

  • Payment authorization is completed
  • Funds have been successfully received
  • A transaction confirmation is generated

Users are responsible for retaining payment receipts and transaction references.

7.5 Future Payment Services

GetHouze may introduce additional payment and transaction services in the future, including rental payment facilitation and escrow-related services.

Where such services are introduced, additional terms may apply.

8. Refund Policy

8.1 Inspection Refund Guarantee

At GetHouze, trust is a core part of our platform.

If a scheduled inspection fails due to reasons attributable to GetHouze or the assigned inspection agent, users may be eligible for a full refund of the inspection fee.

Examples include:

  • Verified agent no-show
  • Inspection cancelled by GetHouze
  • Property becomes unavailable before inspection
  • Verified operational failure preventing inspection completion

8.2 Non-Refundable Situations

Inspection fees are generally non-refundable where:

  • The user fails to attend the inspection
  • The user voluntarily cancels after the inspection has started
  • The inspection is completed successfully
  • The user decides not to rent the property after inspection
  • The user changes their mind after receiving the inspection service

Inspection fees cover scheduling, coordination, verification, and operational costs associated with arranging the inspection.

8.3 Property Outcomes

GetHouze does not guarantee:

  • Rental approval
  • Property availability after inspection
  • Successful negotiation between parties
  • Completion of a tenancy agreement

As a result, inspection fees are not refundable solely because a user decides not to proceed with a property.

8.4 Agent and Marketplace Transactions

GetHouze is not responsible for private agreements, negotiations, or payments made outside the platform between users, landlords, agents, or property owners.

Refund requests relating to such external transactions may not be honored by GetHouze.

8.5 Refund Review Process

All refund requests are reviewed individually. Users may be required to provide:

  • Inspection reference number
  • Payment reference
  • Supporting information regarding the issue

GetHouze reserves the right to approve or reject refund requests after investigation.

8.6 Refund Processing

Approved refunds are typically processed within 5 to 15 business days depending on the payment provider and banking institution involved.

8.7 Abuse of Refund Policy

Users who repeatedly abuse, manipulate, or fraudulently exploit the refund process may have their accounts restricted, suspended, or permanently terminated.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for unlawful activities
  • Submit false or misleading information
  • Impersonate another person
  • Interfere with Platform operations
  • Attempt unauthorized access to accounts or systems
  • Upload malicious software or harmful content
  • Circumvent security measures
  • Use the Platform for fraudulent transactions

Violation of these provisions may result in account suspension or termination.

10. Ratings, Reviews, and Reports

Users may submit ratings, reviews, feedback, and reports concerning inspections or agents. You agree that submitted content:

  • Is truthful
  • Does not contain defamatory material
  • Does not violate third-party rights

GetHouze reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

11. Intellectual Property

All software, branding, designs, logos, graphics, content, and platform functionality remain the property of GetHouze, SoftPath Tech, or their licensors.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of intellectual property rights to users.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any portion of the Platform without prior written permission.

12. Availability of Service

We strive to provide reliable access to the Platform but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

We may perform scheduled maintenance, introduce new features, modify existing functionality, temporarily suspend services, or discontinue features where necessary to:

  • Improve platform operations
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Maintain platform security

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GetHouze and SoftPath Tech shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect damages
  • Loss of profits
  • Loss of opportunity
  • Property disputes between users and third parties
  • Listing inaccuracies provided by third parties
  • Service interruptions
  • Technical failures

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to GetHouze during the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

14. Disclaimer

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We make no guarantees regarding:

  • Continuous availability
  • Error-free operation
  • Specific outcomes from using the Platform
  • Property suitability
  • Rental approval outcomes

Users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence before entering any rental agreement.

15. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Abuse Platform services
  • Present security risks

Users may discontinue use of the Platform at any time. Certain records may be retained where required by law or operational policies.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

When significant changes occur, we will provide notice through:

  • Email
  • Platform notifications
  • Website announcements

Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
